1. Getting to Know the Flora and Fauna of the Mountainous Region of Larnaca
Duration of Program: 2 hours
8:30 a.m.- 8:45 a.m. Arrival and briefing on the program to be followed and some general information on the Center.
8:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Watch a 14 minute video on the flora, fauna and other significant elements of the region.
10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Tour of Nature Trail.
Participation fee: 2 euro per child.
2. The Art of Red Clay
Duration of Program: 3 hours
8:30 a.m.- 8:45 a.m. Arrival and briefing on the program to be followed and some general information on the Center.
8:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Watch a 14 minute video on the flora, fauna and other significant elements of the region.
9:00 a.m.– 9:15 a.m. Presentation on the history of red clay using slides and photos.
9:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Demonstration of the use of red clay for making ceramics.
9:45 a.m.– 10:45 a.m. Tour in the room of natural models.
10:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Tour of Nature Trail.
Participation fee: 3 euro per child.
3. The Art of Lefkara Laces
Duration of Program: 3 hours

4. The Art of Silversmithery

5. Energy
Duration of Program: 3 hours

9:00 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Presentation on fossil fuels and energy sources.
9:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Presentation on new technologies and viable means of transportation and recycling.
9:45 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Educational games on the topic of Energy.
10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Tour in the room of natural models.
10:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Tour of Nature Trail.
Participation fee: 3 euro per child.
6. 3Rs
Our Center complies with the principles of the 3Rs. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The children can examine and learn how the various everyday objects can be reused or be used in a different manner (e.g. cans can be transformed to candlesticks or ashtrays, plastic bottles and glass containers can be turned into vases etc.)
